- 1 gallon- Fill the 9 gallon bucket. Pour 4 gallons into the 4 gallon bucket and pour it out. You now have 5 gallons in the 9 gallon bucket. Pour 4 gallons into the 4 gallon bucket and pour it out. You now have 1 gallon in the 9 gallon bucket.
- fill the 4 gallon bucket and pour two out
- fill up the 4 gallon bucket and pour 1 out
- You pour 4 in the 4 gallon
- 1 gallon- Fill the 9 gallon bucket. Pour 4 gallons into the 4 gallon bucket and pour it out. You now have 5 gallons in the 9 gallon bucket. Pour 4 gallons into the 4 gallon bucket and pour it out. You now have 1 gallon in the 9 gallon bucket. you fill up the 4 gallon bucket
- Fill up the 9 gallon bucket and pour 3 gallons in the 4 gallon bucket
- fill up the 9 gallon bucket pour out 2 gallons in the 4 gallon bucket
- Fill up the 9 gallon bucket
- fill up the 9 gallon bucket
- fill up the 9 gallon bucket pour four in the four gallon bucket than pour a gallon on the 9 gallon bucket
- you fill up the 9 gallon bucket than pour 2 gallon in the 4 gallon bucket and than you fill up the 9 gallon bucket again with 2 gallons
- You add 4 gallons to the 9 gallons
